British Fires Terms & Conditions

1. Guarantee

1.1 Guarantee Period

This guarantee begins on the date of purchase and is valid only when the appliance has been purchased from an authorised British Fires stockist or distribution partner. Proof of purchase may be required to validate any claim.

1.2 Scope of Guarantee

The guarantee covers parts and labour for manufacturing defects arising under normal domestic use, provided that the appliance has been installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and that installation complies with all applicable local regulations in the region of use.

1.3 Exclusions

The guarantee does not cover: damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, theft, tampering, or unauthorised repairs; normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage; damage caused by accident, fire, flood, frost, lightning, storms, or any other adverse environmental condition; failure to follow the installation, operation, or servicing instructions; costs associated with removal, reinstallation, or transport of the appliance; or routine maintenance or cleaning tasks.

1.4 Repair and Replacement

If a repair is required during the guarantee period and the issue is found not to be covered under the terms of this guarantee, we will inform you and, where possible, provide an estimated cost before work commences. Final costs may be confirmed following a full inspection. Repaired or replaced components are covered only for the remainder of the original guarantee period. Any replaced parts or products will become the property of British Fires.

1.5 Third-Party Work

British Fires will not reimburse any costs incurred by a third party carrying out work or fitting parts unless prior written approval has been granted by British Fires.

1.6 Right to Refuse a Claim

British Fires reserves the right to reject any claim or to charge for a service visit if the appliance has not been installed or operated in accordance with the supplied instructions, or the issue has arisen due to misuse or unauthorised modification. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

2. Returns

British Fires does not accept product returns directly. All returns, exchanges, or refund requests must be handled through the authorised dealer or stockist from which the product was originally purchased. Returns will be subject to and governed by the individual policies of the dealer or retailer, and British Fires cannot be held responsible for, nor influence, those independent return policies.

If you require assistance or guidance regarding a return, please contact your point of purchase. British Fires will work closely with its dealer network to ensure any issues are resolved promptly and fairly.

3. Deluxe Real Logs

Our Deluxe Real Log fuel beds are crafted using authentic, naturally sourced logs. Each log undergoes a quality assurance process to meet British Fires’ standards for safety and appearance. However, as these are natural materials, some variation in size, shape, colour, and texture is to be expected. These natural inconsistencies are not considered defects and form part of the product’s unique aesthetic appeal.

4. International Guarantee Coverage

British Fires products are distributed and supported worldwide through a network of exclusive partners. We work closely with these partners to ensure a consistent level of service, support, and warranty coverage outside the United Kingdom. Guarantee terms apply globally; however, service procedures may vary depending on local market regulations and distributor policies. For assistance outside the UK, please contact your local authorised British Fires distributor or partner for guidance.
